The Greater Union system was a web front end for the Greater Union and Birch Carrol & Coyle cinema chain.

Visitors customised the site to their individual preferences, accessed session times, entered competitions and subscribed to the weekly newsletter.

Backend systems processed the weekly movie session upload files, allowed editing of the weekly newsletters which could be customised for different cinema complexes or target markets, and were also used in the selection of competition winners (either random selection of valid entries or could produce all entries for skill based competitions).
